2025 Summer Solstice Soiree Recap

2025 Summer Solstice Soiree Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us in the courtyard for the second annual Garden Club Summer Soiree! This year's Soiree coincided with the summer solstice and it was a gorgeous day to gather with friends and neighbors in our beautiful courtyard. Deepest gratitude to our sponsors, ServePro who sponsored the entire event, including all of the food, cocktails, and extra tables and big thanks to our wine sponsor, Bread & Butter Wines, who stocked us with enough wine for the entire evening!

We also want to thank everyone who donated incredible prizes to our raffle fundraiser, which raised money for new plants on our sprawling grounds. Congratulations to all the winners!

Soiree attendees were invited to vote on their favorite adopt a pot and we're pleased to share that Linda Tomkow won the adopt-a-pot contest! Her prize is to choose the next decorative tree we plant on our grounds. While Linda may we have won the contest, all adopt-a-pot participants are winners in our hearts since each and everyone one of your self-designed pots further beautifies our courtyard.

The Garden Club recognized the hard work of all members throughout the last year, with special thanks to members who have taken on their own projects, including Fabian Perez, Beth Bryngelson, and Philip Rickertsen. Mike Stevens was honored with a special token of thanks for tirelessly and single-handedly working a miracle in the courtyard and bringing to life what we thought was permanently dead grass. His efforts have a yielded beautiful and lush lawn, which many of thought would never be possible. Thank you, Mike for working so hard to beautify the MDA grounds.

Another big thank-you to our wonderful property manager, Darci Kavanagh, who went above and beyond to secure our generous sponsors! Thank you Darci for partnering with the Garden Club in the production of this annual event and ensure a successful evening for all residents! It's always wonderful to have an opportunity to connect with our neighbors and continue to build a wonderful community at the MDA. Here are some pictures from this year's event:
